The Fine Art of Decluttering
Here we are, transitioning into mid-January already- blows my mind how fast the clock ticks. So, one of our more popular and feedback provoking posts of last year was the one about puking. Clearing out mental and physical space clearly...
Who’s In Charge Here, Anyway?
As much as we love strong finishes there's something even more energizing about FRESH STARTS. We have a lovely opportunity for that right now.... ...but we're doing it with bigtime chaos happening, plus potential "Old Year Hangover". So if...
How and Why to Clear Your System
December 22nd - Right now it's a good bet that you've built up some mental toxicity over this crazy year, and you'll need to get clear of that before you can think straight about your winning, bright future. So this week's Timely Tuesday is...
I’m reading a couple different books. I start my morning with some faith based reading and a short reading from Open Doors by Rick Warren. The other book I am into is The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy…just started this one recently but so far it is very good.
Great stuff, Scott- big fan of both of those authors. Compound Effect is super applicable!
I’m bouncing back and forth between 2 books right now: Girl, wash your face by Rachel Hollis and Hamilton by Ron Chernow (inspired the musical Hamilton). I LOVE to read! ☺
Once you are done with Girl, Wash Your Face, listen to the audio book! She is so animated! Love her! Her book “Girl, Stop Apologizing” is a great one too.
Just started “A New Earth – Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose” by Eckhart Tolle and have “Letting Go – The Pathway of Surrender” by David R. Hawkins in que for when the first is done.
Heather, I have to tell you- A New Earth is the only book I ever read where as soon as I finished, I immediately went right back to page 1 and read it again. Powerful stuff…
Reading (again): “What Your CEO Wants You to Know” by Ram Charan
Reading: “The Cardinal of the Kremlin” by Tom Clancy
Listening to: “Start with Why” by Simon Sinek
I am usually into a couple of books at a time. Going through the Daniel Dilemma by Chris Hodges and also the 12 Week Year by Brian Moran. One of my favorite authors besides Roger Seip is Patrick Lencioni. I usually keep an audio book near me for my commutes. Was listening to Guns, Germs and Steel and now in Nonviolent Communication.
Paul, this was an excellent brown-nose answer :)….. haven’t read the Hodges book, but 12 Week Year is one of my faves. Totally congruent with everything we teach!
Of course, I re-read a chapter of Train Your Brain thru out the week! I read from the Bible and a devotional every morning. I am currently re-reading “UNOFFENDABLE” by Brant Hansen (How just one change can make all life better.) About embracing forgiveness, letting go of anger. This book has changed my whole attitude on being angry! I really have a choice!
