Wrapping up our recent series about preventing and overcoming fatigue, this week we’re talking about the power of getting quiet in a noisy world.
We’re talking about over-stimulation.
Increasingly more over the last couple of decades, our brains have been bombarded with a relentless barrage of noise and stimulation from all directions. Whether it’s the demands of our customers, the constant chatter on social media, the never-ending stream of information from television, or the myriad of entertainment options, it’s like we’re constantly being shouted at.
And the result?
This never-ending stimulation has been proven, in countless studies, to cause stress, exhaustion, and diminished productivity.
So, what do we do about it? Check out this week’s video as Roger Seip shows us how we can tap into the power of getting quiet in order to battle over-stimulation in a noisy world.
Make it a priority to find moments of quiet in your life, even if it’s just for a few minutes. You don’t need to escape to a cabin in the woods – look for those pockets of tranquility that work for you.
Turn off the external noise.
You’ll be amazed at how good it makes you feel. Quiet isn’t just a luxury; it’s a necessity for maximum energy and well-being. Don’t feel guilty about it. Take a step back, slow down, and experience the best version of yourself.
