This week, we’ve got a pretty cool article we think you’ll appreciate, on the LOCI Method of memorization, from our friends over at BigThink.com.
Check out the article here: https://bigthink.com/neuropsych/method-of-loci-memory-palace.
If you’re one of the tens of thousands of graduates of our Memory Training Workshop, then perhaps the “memory palace” technique may sound familiar to you.
If you aren’t yet one of our graduates, but are looking for a proven, simple way to recall ANYTHING, you’ll want to give this article a read.
But here’s the gist…
As long as you understand the Mental File Folder system (F.I.G.), this is a great way to create a filing system based on a familiar place (like a room in your home).
Once you have the anchor items placed (file), just use a clear picture of the thing you want to remember (image) and then use tons of action and emotion to “glue” the image to the file.
One of the best ways to create vivid images is by practicing association. You can get started with a free lesson on remembering a list of over 20 items in and out of order at https://www.planetfreedom.com.
Happy remembering!
